Our Competition Course consists of challenges promoting good horsemanship qualities and skills that will make both horse and rider a better team.

  COMPETITION INFORMATION:

ALL DIVISIONS WILL BE COMPETING FOR CASH AND ROSETTES

     Gates open at 7:30 a.m.   Course will be open for practice after contestant registers!!

     Spectators watch for FREE

PAYOUT : 50% TEAM DIVISION,   50% NOVICE DIVISION, 50% OPEN DIVISION

REGISTRATION:     Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and will continue until 10:30 a.m.

                    ENTRY FEES:  Team Division  $30.00 / team 

                                                 Novice Division  $20.00/ entry

                                                Open Division $40.00 / entry

COMPETITION & SITE RULES:

ALL CONTESTANTS MUST BE 14 OR OLDER.  If younger than 18 contestant must have parental consent signed on registration form AND WEAR A HELMET (Helmet must be SEI approved).

ALL HORSES ENTERING PROPERTY MUST HAVE A CURRENT COGGINS AND RABIES VACCINATION.

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES

NO SMOKING, ALCOHOL, OR DRUGS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES

ENTRY:   Each horse and rider team is only allowed to run the course once per open division per competition date.  The contestant may enter more than once but must use a different horse for each ride.  Horse may be entered more than once but must have a different rider.

SCORING:  This competition will be timed and judged.  Certain obstacles will be judged on a 0-10 point system.  Based on horsemanship, willingness of the horse, and the overall execution. The contestants will have a maximum of 30 seconds to complete each challenge.  The timer for the challenge will begin as soon as the horse hesitates at that particular challenge, if the challenge is not complete at the end of 30 seconds a whistle will blow and the contestant must move to the next challenge.  Each obstacle must be attempted. The entire course will have a maximum time as well.  If that time is exceeded the contestant will be disqualified.

HORSEMANSHIP:  In order to complete many of the challenges in the course a great deal of horse and rider communication and trust will be necessary.  There will be no over unders or whips allowed to be used on the course and anyone demonstrating poor horsemanship will be disqualified and asked to leave.  WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ASK ANYONE AT ANYTIME FOR ANY REASON TO LEAVE THE PREMISES.
